The apparatus is for testing the damping force, displacement, and velocity of the shock absorber used in absorbing the shocks generated while running the automobile on road. The tester comprises a planetary gear(46) having couplings(44,44a) on both sides in the same axis with a servo motor(42); a magnetic break(50), correspondent to a magnetic clutch(48), installed on one side of the planetary gear(46); a jig(34) having a load measurement device(32); a measurement guide plate(80) installed on the upper part of a drive plate(58); a measurement guide rod(82), correspondent to a displacement meansurement device(82), installed on one side of the guide plate(80); and a velocity measurement device(88) connected to a wire(86).
