<p>PURPOSE: To provide a character string correction system and a method for the same to correctly recognize an input character string by correcting an undermentioned error when the input character string contains such the serious error as a large number of continuous wrong characters. CONSTITUTION: A retrieving means 2 compares an inputted character one by one with the entry of the input character of a TRIE table stored in a dictionary storage means 1, and retrieves the entry of a dictionary corresponding to the input character string. When the character in the input character string is not equal with the entry of the TRIE table, a skipping means 3 obtains a next effective pseudo syllable border in the input character string, and obtains the candidate of the TRIE table corresponding to it. The retrieving means 2 retrieves the character string following the obtained pseudo syllable border by using these candidates of the TRIE table, and obtains the entry of the dictionary corresponding to the input character string, and outputs it as a recognition word.</p> |
