<p>PURPOSE: To have a delay effect of high-frequency waves at the same time with radiating heat of an internal conductor easily by forming either the internal conductor or an external conductor in the spiral shape. CONSTITUTION: In a transmission line 10, an internal conductor 11 having a smaller diameter is installed at the inner diameter side and an external conductor 12 having a larger diameter is installed at the outer diameter side. The inner conductor 11 is formed in the spiral shape. The spiral may be in any shape and can be designed at pleasure. Since the internal conductor 11 is formed in the spiral shape, high-frequency waves of a TEM mode which propagate at the light velocity in a free space in the direction perpendicular to both the electric field and the magnetic field propagate along the spiral between the spiral internal conductor 11 and the external conductor 12. Therefore, an effective propagation velocity of the high-frequency waves in the axis direction becomes slower than the light velocity. At the same time, since there is no dielectric, etc., filling a space between the internal conductor 11 and the external conductor 12, heat radiation of the internal conductor can be done efficiently even if the internal conductor 11 generates a relatively large amount of heat.</p> |
