PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic analyzer in which a sample can be diluted without lowering the treatment capability of the analyzer and which can prepare a diluted sample in a quantity capable of analyzing many items in one diluting operation. CONSTITUTION: Sample containers 14 and empty cups 16, for dilution of a sample, which have a volume capable of housing a sample in a quantity required for a plurality of times of analyses are arranged on a sampler 12 for a sample injection mechanism 10. A sample can be dispensed to every cup 16 by means of pipetter 18, and a diluted sample which has been prepared by using every cup 16 can be sucked and dispensed to a reaction container 6 in a prescribed position on a reaction line. A diluted liquid is arranged in a reagent warehouse for a reagent injection mechanism 20, the diluted liquid is dispensed to every cup 16 by means of a dispenser 26, and a diluted sample is prepared in every cup 16. |
