PURPOSE: To individually detect wheel speeds of two wheels independently without any deterioration in an installation property of a device. CONSTITUTION: For detecting a rotational speedωt of a ring gear 22 rotating with an input shaft 14, a projection 22n is arranged in each tooth of the ring gear 22, while the first magnetic sensor 46 is arranged in the position opposed to the projection 22n. For detecting a rotational speedωa of an output shaft 36a, a rotor 44 provided with projections 44n at the predetermined intervals is arranged, while the second magnetic sensor 48 is arranged in the position opposed to the projection 44n. In an electronic control unit 50, the rotational speedsωa andωt are detected, while a rotational speedωb of an output shaft 36b is found according to the computing equation 2×ωt--ωa=ωb.
