PRODUCTION OF 4-CHLORO-3,5-DIAMINOBENZONITRILE

摘要

PURPOSE: To industrially and advantageously produce high-quality 4-chloro-3,5- diaminobenzonitrile by carrying out reduction reaction using an inexpensive reducing agent and a minimum amount of a mineral acid and carrying out isolation purification of a simple product by pH control. CONSTITUTION: A mineral acid in an amount of 12-17 times by mol based on 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzonitrile is dropped to the nitrile compound in an organic solvent, water solvent or mixed solvent thereof in the presence of metal tin or metal zinc in an amount of 4-8 times by mol based on the nitrile compound while keeping a temperature range of 0-30 deg.C to reduce 4-chloro-3,5- dinitrobenzonitrile and pH is controlled to a fixed range and the reactional product is extracted into an organic solvent layer by distribution between water - an organic solvent to produce the objective 4-chloro-3,5-diaminobenzonitrile.
