PURPOSE: To provide the media conversion type information providing device which facilitates information requesting, has a high efficiency, handles many identical requests, reduces the trouble of user's requesting, and individually offers information changing at all times. CONSTITUTION: The media conversion type information providing device 1 which offers information to an on-vehicle information reception device 20 is equipped with a request receiving means 21 which receives a request made by a user 2 through bidirectional media, a retrieval means 22 which has an emulating function for emulating a user terminal of each commercial on-line data base and retrieves information complying with a request from the commercial on-line data base through the emulating function, and a transmitting means 23 which sends the retrieved information to the on-vehicle information reception device 20 through unidirectional radio media. |
