Spark plug connector for motor vehicles

The spark plug connector has an insulating part and an electric shield. The latter at least partly surrounds the insulating part. The electric shield is made of electrically conductive plastics material. The electric shield and the insulating part are preferably formed as one piece. The insulating part (14) preferably surrounds the ignition cable (16), a resistance type suppressor (18) and part of the spark plug (10). The electric shield (22) is preferably provided on the outer wall of the insulating part (14). The latter (14) is preferably also made of plastic. The two plastic parts may be connected together or formed from the same material, where only the shield (22) region is electrically conductive.
