A fluid jet (1) is added at very high speed to the particles (7) which are to be pulverized. The fluid jet is formed by relaxing the compressed fluid in a nozzle. The particles are supplied to the fluid jet in a supply stream (8). Mixing the particles and fluid is undertaken in a tube downstream of the nozzle and designed so that the particles are sucked into the fluid stream according to the injector principle. The particles can be added in metered amounts. The fluid used is gas, preferably air. The particle-charged fluid jet is directed onto am impact plate for additional pulverizing action.
