The flanges (7,8) are at right angles to the reel axis, and have concentric round openings. The tabs (3) hinge on transverse axes (4) on the hub (6) and are glued to the flanges, or vice versa. Each flange can be formed by a flat plate in which a circular weakened line is formed. Cuts (2) extend between this line and the plate centre, forming tabs hinging at the weakened line, which can be in sections forming the hinges. Cardboard can be used as the hub and flange material.
