The fastening consists of clamp elements (12,4) for the toe of the boot (2). The heel is able to lift freely from the surface of the ski. The sole of the boot is connected to the ski by a spring-loaded hooked bar (15) engaging with an anchoring element (5) in the sole. This controls the angle of lift and return the boot to the ski surface. The anchoring element is situated in line with the metatarsophalangeal joints. The end of the bar opposite the hook has a spring-loaded pivot (17) which is able to slide in a lengthwise guide (11b) on the surface of the ski, returning to a rear position as the heel of the boot is lowered. Alternatively, the traction spring can be replaced by a compression spring, with the hooked bar pivot situated at its rear end. |
