<p>PURPOSE: To save the data storage area of a readable and writable card by judging its use start date and time and end date and time after judging whether or not the card is already used. CONSTITUTION: In the card, its use start date and time are stored in its date and time data area when purchased. When it is put in a gate device, it is judged whether or not the card is already used (S11) and when the card is used for the 1st time, the use start date and time are checked (S12), and when the card is effective, a normal process is performed (S14) and the date and time area are rewritten into a use end date and time (S18). When it is judged in S11 that the card is already used, only the use end date and time are checked (S15) and the normal process is performed. Consequently, even when the use start date and time are not stored in another storage area, the use start/end date and time can be judged by storing date and time data and data showing whether or not the card is already used, thereby saving the data storage area of the card.</p> |
