PURPOSE: To obtain a film having stable mechanical properties at high temperature and high humidity which is used appropriately in a magnetic recording medium, etc. CONSTITUTION: A film is made of an organic polymer which has the retention of elongation of 60% or more after being treated for four days in an atmosphere of high pressure steam of 155 deg.C and in which a tensile Young's modulus E20 at least in one direction at temperature of 20 deg.C and relative humidity of 60% and a tensile Young's modulus E80 in the same direction at temperature of 80 deg.C and relative humidity of 80% meet the relations of E20>=700kg/mm<2> and 0.5<=E80/E20.
