PURPOSE: To prevent the submersion of a catalytic converter due to the intruded water inside a vessel body in the stopped state of an engine by interposing a catalytic converter in an exhaust system of an exhaust device, and by positioning the upper end of the catalytic converter above both an air-intake port of an air-intake device and an exhaust outlet of an exhaust device. CONSTITUTION: On the further upstream side of a water lock 21 of an exhaust system, a part that is upwardly extended higher than an air intake port 17a and an exhaust outlet 14a so that it is bent upward so as to form a convex shape is provided, and a catalytic converter 23 is interposed in this upwardly extended part. Further, the catalytic converter 23 is arranged in such a way that it is positioned above the water level in the state that no person is on board and in the state that a vessel body 2 is floated on the water with an engine 8 stopped. When water is intruded inside the vessel body 2 of a water- borne traveling boat in the state the engine 8 is stopped, even if the water flows back into an exhaust system until it closes the air intake port 17a in accordance with the water quantity of the intruded water, the part where the catalytic converter 23 is interposed becomes an air reservoir, so that water can be prevented from reaching the catalytic converter 23.
