PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heater in which the pretreatment time for a material, e.g. a catalyst, reacting on a specific component in a sample gas and the time required for measurement can be shortened. SOLUTION: The heater 1 is employed for determining chemical species produced on the surface of a catalyst 3 by heating the catalyst 3 reacting on a specific component in sample gas S1 , S2 and for analyzing the sample gas reacted on the catalyst 3. A plurality of reaction chambers 4a, 4b, also serving as heating chambers, are disposed in a heating block 2 while housing the catalyst 3 and each reaction chamber/heating chamber is provided with a gas inlet 5 and a gas outlet 6 for communicating the sample gas S1 , S2 . |
