PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent turbulence in ejection of liquid and to make efficient ejection possible by a method wherein a movable member is provided, opposite to a bubble forming area formed of a bubble forming heating device, and a fulcrum is provided at the upstream side of the movable member so that the movable member can be shifted in the direction receding from the bubble forming area in accordance with bubbles. SOLUTION: Heating elements 2-1, 2-2 forming bubbles to liquid are provided in the direction wherein ejection ports are arranged, and a second liquid passage 16 is arranged on an element substrate 1, and a first liquid passage 14 communicating directly with an ejection port 18 is provided at a position thereupon. A separating wall 30, provided with an elastic metal movable member 31, is provided between the first and the second liquid passages 14 and 16. As the movable member 31 is constructed in a cantilever structure with a fulcrum 33 positioned at the upstream side and arranged, facing a bubble forming area 11, the movable member can be opened, fronting toward the first liquid passage side with foaming liquid foamed. On foaming of the foaming liquid, the state of bubbles produced therefrom and the amount of shifting of the movable member 31 can be changed and the amount of ejection of liquid can be controlled by changing driving conditions of the heating elements 2-1, 2-2. |
