The braking system includes a planetary transmission, a coupling operating unit and an emergency braking unit. The planetary transmission includes an internally toothed crown wheel (70) fixed to the input shaft (30) of the main transmission, and a sun wheel (67). The sun wheel is fitted co-axially in the crown wheel and co-axially on the coupling shaft (60). There are also several planet wheels (72) engaged with the crown wheel and the sun wheel. The fixed-location shafts of the planet wheels are connected to a coupling jacket of the coupling so that they can turn.
