Flow limiting valve for fuel injection system

A high pressure pump feeds fuel via the flow limiting valve (27) to the fuel jet. The valve consists of a cylindrical body in which a valve (40), with choke throughflow opening (42), is forced by the flow of fuel, towards a blocking disc (39). The movement of the valve, towards the blocking disc, due to the hydraulic force of the fuel, is restrained by a magnetic force which is generated in a coil (45) which is mounted around the valve body. The amount of fuel, which flows through the valve, is controlled in accordance with operating parameters of the engine.
