A balance groove 9 is provided on the outpter peripheral part of the rotor 5 and the deflective and rotational vibration of the rotary polygon mirror 1 is prevented by attaching weights 10 to the groove. Since the outer peripheral wall 9a of the balance groove 9 is inclined to the outward in the radial direction by an inclined angleθwith respect to the center axis of the rotary polygon mirror 1, a fear that the rotary polygon mirror 1 becomes an obstruction in the attaching work of the weights 10 is not generated. |
