PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifying filter being a cylindrical filter comprising active carbon fibers good in water passing properties even at a time of low water pressure, capable of preventing the falling-off of the active carbon fibers and the getting-out of the shape by external force and suitable when used in an automatic ice machine of a refrigerator or a hot water supply system. SOLUTION: In a water purifying filter wherein the inner and outer peripheral layers of a cylindrical body are respectively composed of a nonwoven fabric 2 and the layer between both layers is formed of paper 1 consisting of active carbon fibers and hot-melt fibers and both end parts of the cylindrical body are fixed by a thermoplastic resin, the fibers constituting the nonwoven fabric 2 contain fibers with a fiber diameter of 10-50μm and fibers with a fiber diameter of 0.5-3μm and further contains fibers of which the equilibrium moisture content under a 65%RH and 20 deg.C condition is 5% or more.
