SOIL-CONDITIONING MATERIAL FOR ILL-DRAINED FARMLAND USING MIXTURE COMPRISING GRANULAR AND POWDERY COAL ASHES

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent soil conditioner for marsh farmland by effectively utilizing and recycling coal ash. SOLUTION: Two kinds of boiler ashes, the granular ash from a Stoker boiler and powdery ash from a fluidized bed boiler are mixed at a ratio of (1-3)/3 to prepare the objective soil conditioner 4. This soil conditioner 4 is deposited on the marsh farmland in a 1m-2 m thickness after the surface layer 2 and subsoil layer 3 are peeled off, then the deposited surface is covered with these peeled-off soils 2 and 3 whereby the improved soil excellent in water permeation and water retention and good in drainage is prepared in marsh land.
