AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC MAIL SORTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the automatic sorting of received mail, the automatic maintenance of a setting file and the automatic erasure of unwanted mail. SOLUTION: The mail stored in a mail reception file 21 by a mail reception subsystem 11 is compared with the setting of priority of a keyword/priority correspondence table file 22 by a mail sorting subsystem 12, and the result is stored in a mail sorting file 23. A mail display subsystem 15 retrieves the mail sorting file 23, reads the correspondent mail from the mail reception file 21 and displays it. The keyword/priority correspondence table file 22 is updated automatically by a mail statistic analysis subsystem 13 based on the statistic information of mail and manually by a keyword/priority maintenance subsystem 14 from a user. In this case, a mail erasure subsystem 16 automatically erases the mail for a prescribed prescribed period and/or more than the number of received mail.
