<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily operate an application by using a pointing device by referring to conversion information stored in a storage means based on a moving direction and converting a cursor movement event into a key event when the interval of time measured by an event monitoring means is a prescribed value. SOLUTION: The event monitoring means 11 monitors an event inputted from the pointing device 1 to an operating system 3, fetches event information before the event information is inputted to an application program 4 and measures the time interval of inputting the event information of cursor movement when the fetched event is a cursor movement event. When the time interval is the prescribed value, based on the moving direction, the conversion information stored in the storage means 16 is referred to in an event conversion means 15 and the cursor movement event is converted to the key event. Thus, the application is easily operated by the pointing device 1.</p> |
