PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binocular lens barrel for a stereomicroscope capable of obtaining a compact, low priced binocular lens barrel with a small angle of lens barrel and having excellent performance and reliability. SOLUTION: In a Porro prism composed of an incident prism 2, a transmitting prism 3 and an intermediate prism 4, the incident prism 2 is rotated about the exit optical axis by a prescribed angleα, the transmitting prism 3 is rotated about the entrance optical axis by the same angleα' in the reverse direction to the rotating angle of the incident prism 2 and these prisms are stuck/fixed to the intermediate prism 4. At this time, the binocular lens barrel having a small angle of lens barrel is formed by adjusting these rotating anglesαandα' while keeping the respective rotating anglesαandα' of the incident prism 2 and the transmitting prism 3 equal as it is.
