PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load on a driving controller for controlling a printer as a whole, by carrying out micro-step driving for a stepping motor using a hard logic circuit. SOLUTION: Duty value data is read out by a second read-out circuit 65 from a table of a ROM 4 and stored in a duty data storing circuit 72. An 'on'- signal is generated by a comparison circuit 73 to a pulse signal generating circuit 74 until a clock signal from a cyclic timer 69 is made equal to the duty value data, and an 'off'-signal is generated after that. The pulse signal generating circuit 74 generates a H-level driving signal during the term of 'on'-signal. Then, the cyclic timer 69 is reset when the count value is made equal to a micro-step cycle set in a cyclic data storing unit 70, and the duty data storing circuit 72 reads out the duty value from the second read-out circuit 65. On the other hand, the second read-out circuit 65 reads out the duty value data from the ROM 44 on the basis of load timing data that is read out by a first read-out circuit 64 from ROM 45. |
