PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic one-component developer and an image forming method using the developer, capable of stabilizing the electrostatic charge and transfer of a toner over a long period of time, and giving stable image density. SOLUTION: This nonmagnetic one-component developer consists of toner particles contg. a bonding resin, an electrostatic charge controlling agent and a colorant and an additive. The electrostatic charge controlling agent contains a salicylic acid-metal complex compd. and the additive is a titanium compd. obtd. by allowing TiO(OH)2 to react with a silane compd. or silicone oil. The TiO(OH)2 is preferably produced by a wet method. The bonding resin is preferably polyester resin especially having 90-120 deg.C softening point and 60-70 deg.C glass transition temp.
