PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the output of an exposure means and to stabilize the density of image by changing the number of the revolution per unit time of a belt-like image carrier with a control means, based on a revolution time measured with a revolution time measuring means and adjusting,the process speed for forming an electrostatic latent image and the exposure of the exposure means with an exposure adjusting means. SOLUTION: A CPU 23 receives a signal on a moving speed measured by an intermediate transfer belt speed measuring device 22, to measure its revolution time. The CPU 23 compares the revolution time (reference time) for making a printing time required for making one print by an image forming device a desired time, with the measured time and makes the angular velocity of a driving roller 15 faster than a reference angular velocity, when the measured time is longer than the reference time. Moreover, the CPU 23 adjusts the output of a laser exposure optical system, based on the data of a ROM 25 storing the proper value of the output of the laser exposure optical system 3 with respect to the measured time, to stabilize the density of the image. |
