<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp structure with good cooling efficiency for an electrodeless discharge lamp which dischargingly emits with microwave. SOLUTION: An electrodeless discharge lamp 9 forms a spherical container on a discharge lamp support 91 and a blow guide tube 92, in a double structure, namely, a channeled internal open space and a closed space enveloping the opening space in which sealed bodies such as metal halide and rare gases, as discharge emitting mediums, are sealed, respectively. Feeding coolant air to the internal opening space through the blow guide tube 92 cools off the container from the surface of internal opening space. Hence, the electrodeless discharge lamp 9 is efficiently cooled off, the light emitted by the electrodeless discharge lamp 9 is not interrupted and the structure design of microwave lamp is simplified.</p> |
