<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method having excellent electrostatic charge stability without the embedment of external additives in toner surfaces in spite of receipt of stresses with lapse of time over a long period of time and thermal stresses and having excellent image stability free form low densities and unequal densities without the occurrence of development ghosts. SOLUTION: This image forming method has a stage for forming a thin layer of a developer on a developer carrying member having a film consisting of Mo, O and H as its main constitution components on the surface of a hollow cylindrical substrate and transporting this member to a deviation section and a stage for developing the electrostatic latent image on the latent image holding member by using the thin layer of the transported developer. The magnetic one-component developer consisting of toner particles contg. at least a binder reins and magnetic powder and additives contg. the titanium compd. obtd. by the reaction of part or the whole of TiO(OH)2 with a silane compd. is used for the developer.</p> |
