DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING AMINES AND ANIONIC SURFACTANTS AND USEING THEM

Liq. detergent compsn. comprises: - (a) anionic surfactants of alkylalkoxy sulphates and alkyl sulphates, and - (b) prim. amines of formula (I), and/or - (c) tert. amines of formula (II): - R1R2R3N (I) - R1'R2'R3'N (II) - R3 = 4-18C or R4X(CH2)n; - X = O, CONH or NH; - R4 = 4-18C; - n = 1-5; - R1', R2' = 1-8C alkyl or (CH2-CHR5-O)xH; - x = 1-5; - R3' = 4-18C or R4'X(CH2)n; - R4' = 6-18C; and - R6 = H or 1-2C alkyl. - Also claimed are: - (i) use of the prim. amines and/or tert. amines in detergent compsns. for the controlling of suds; and - (ii) use of a liq. detergent compsn. for pretreatment of fabrics.
