PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information presentation device and an information presentation method capable of presenting latest huge data like image information or the like to a user at a high speed. SOLUTION: This information presentation device connected to a server computer 101 storing electronized information 102 through a network 103 for presenting the electronized information 102 stored in the server computer 101 is provided with a CD-ROM 107 recording at least a part of the electronized information 102 stored in the server computer 101 and the CD-ROM reader 106 of the CD-ROM 107. The specified electronized information is read by the CD-ROM reader 106 in the case that the specified electronized information is present in the original 107 of the CD-ROM, the specified electronized information is obtained from the server computer 101 through the network 103 in the case that it is not present and the obtained electronized information is presented.
