PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable vulcanization of a belt sleeve without using a jacket by a method wherein a forming mold, on which a green belt sleeve with its outer peripheral surface covered by a vapour impermeable film body is installed, is arranged in a vulcanizer so as to vulcanize the belt sleeve under the state that the vapour does not enter forcibly inside the film body. SOLUTION: A vapour impermeable film body 8 is spirally wrapped around the outer peripheral surface 9 of the green belt sleeve 7 of the forming mold 1 unloaded from a molder and spreading over some part of both the side faces 10 of the forming mold 1. Next, the forming mold 1, on which the green belt sleeve 7 covered with the film body 8, is arranged in a vulcanizing device so as to vulcanize the gree belt sleeve 7 by respectively forcing a high pressure vapour outside the forming mold 1 and a low pressure vapour within the forming mold 1. When the vulcanization of the sleeve comes to an end, the film body 8 can easily be peeled from the forming mold 1 unloaded from the vulcanizer. The surface of the belt sleeve 7 drawn away from the forming mold 1 has neither developed pore nor the like and is fully vulcanized. |
