PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage in a bead section and the air leakage accompanied with this damage by effectively suppressing rim sliding in a pneumatic tire comprising a bead core formed with organic fiber cord. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has belts and tread sections on the outer periphery of the crown section of a carcass comprising at least one ply mounted between a pair of bead cores in a toroid state, and the bead core is formed with spirally wound organic fiber cord. When F is taken as the strong force of the organic fiber cord forming the bead core when extended 1.5%, N as the number of turns and D as the percentage of bead base interference Dr-Db to rim diameter Dr, the K value in the equation; K value (kgf)=(3.28×F +8.73×N+29)×D satisfies the inequality 100<=K<600.
