摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage sensor which does not requires the quartz that is expensive and is not suitable to highvoltage environments. SOLUTION: An electrooptic voltage sensor is provided with a helical winding formed of an optical fiber 12 having at least one area which has sensitivity or is sensitized to such an electric field that gives a secondary electrooptic effect. The sensitization of the area is performed through polarization under the electric field. The sensor is preferably provided with devices 16 and 17 which can make electric field lines (→E) uniform in the area where the helical winding is arranged. A phase difference which is induced by light waves due to the electrooptic effect caused by the electric field and indicates a voltage to be measured can be measured by detecting polarized light or interference.</p>
