<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small inclination detecting light sensor which can accurately detect the lateral inclination direction of a detected object without causing a malfunction and on which the number of part items is reduced and an assembling process can be facilitated. SOLUTION: This light sensor has a light emitting part 1 composed of a single light emitting chip 11, a light receiving part 2 composed of a single light receiving chip 12 having two light receiving surfaces 3, a support 6 having on both sides slopes 4 forming a prescribed angle, a ball body 8 to movably move on both side slopes 4 of the support 6 and a cover body 7 installed on the support 6. When the support 6 is put in an uninclined condition, the diffused light from the light emitting chip 11 is received by two light receiving surfaces of the light receiving chip 12, and when the support 6 is inclined by going over a prescribed angle, the ball body 8 moves to end parts of the slopes 4 in the inclining direction, and one of the two light receiving surfaces of the light receiving chip 12 is shielded from the light, and the other is constituted so as to receive the light.</p> |
