<p>Two hinge members (20) are pivotally mounted about edges of a clamp (24). Thrust bearings (42) are disposed in recesses in both hinge members for preventing relative movement between the hinge members along the clamp length. Antirotation portions of the bearings, such as a longitudinal key (34) from the clamp engaging a keyway in the bearing, resist rotation of the bearings caused by torque produced by the hinge members on the bearings. The thrust bearings may also have a longitudinal free extension (44) on at least one side of a bearing body (46). The extensions increase the effective length of the bearings, limiting rotation. The extensions can be meshable, overlapping, or lockable with other bearings.</p> |
