PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a vinyl chloride-based resin which has an extremely scale formation. SOLUTION: An acrylic copolymer latex (C) having a pH of 3.1-9 is obtained by copolymerizing (A) 100 pts.wt. mixed monomer of (a-l) 51-100 wt.% (meth) acrylate whose homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of -140-30 deg.C and (a-2) 0-49 wt.% radically polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with said (meth) acrylate monomer (a-1) with (B) 0.1-30 pts.wt. polyfunctional monomer in an alkaline aqueous medium whose pH at the initiation of polymerization is adjusted to 8-12. On to 1-30 wt.% acrylic copolymer latex (C) thus obtained, (D) 99-70 wt.% vinyl chloride-based monomer are graft polymerized to obtain a vinyl chloride-based graft resin. |
