PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an optical axis to be precisely adjusted by forming the steps constituting a position-adjusting reference plane and adhesive coating plane, on the upper frame top face of a solid-state image-pickup element housing vessel having a bonding area for mounting solid state image sensing elements. SOLUTION: A lead frame 3, composed of inner and outer leads 1, 2 is molded in a resin package vessel 4 having a bonding area 5 at its recess, to form steps on the top face of a peripheral part of an upper frame 12 integrated with the package 4. The high face and low face of the step form a position- adjusting reference plane 12a and adhesive coating plane 12b. They are available for manufacturing solid state image-pickup elements which require precise optical alignment. |
