PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending method of a plate material capable of precisely bending the plate material to a prescribed angle with a simple process appropriately taking spring back into account. SOLUTION: This bending method of a plate material is provided with a first test bending process to calculate a first spring back rateα(XD1 ) at the time of performing bending a plate material at a desired bending angle XD1 , a second test bending process to calculate a second spring back rateα(XD2 ) at the time of performing bending for the plate material at a bending angle XD2 different from the bending angle XD1 and a desired set bending angle deciding process in which a desired set bending angle XD3 at the time of pressing is decided based on a linear relation between the desired bending angle XD1 /the first spring back rateα(XD1 ) and the different bending angle XD2 /the second spring back rateα(XD2 ) so that a bending angle after spring backing becomes the desired bending angle XD1 . Then, bending is performed at a desired set bending angle XD3 for the plate material for a product.
