<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily keep an interval between sensor electrodes, and to install an object detecting device on a vehicle by a simple method by arranging an electrically grounded linear electrode on the earth side of a belt like electrode arranged in the bumper part of the vehicle. SOLUTION: When an obstacle approaches a sensor electrode (a belt-like electrode) 10a, impedance and secondary side capacity of a sensor electrode unit 10 change, so that an oscillating circuit makes input to a CPU according to a change in a generating oscillating level. The CPU actuates a buzzer and a warning lamp by outputting a signal to show the existence of the obstacle. The sensor electrode unit 10 is composed of the laterally long belt-like electrode 10a running along a bumper shape fixed to the inside of bumpers 30 of the vehicle front/rear parts by a fixing member 18 and a linear electrode 10c parallel to this. Since both electrodes 10a, 10c can be transformed into a sub-assembly by an ABS resin, a fluctuation in a detecting distance can be eliminated by always setting an interval constant. An object detecting device can be easily installed on a vehicle by a transformation of the sensor electrode unit 10 into the sub-assembly.</p> |
