<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let chips produced be sufficiently disposed of even if dry cutting is performed. SOLUTION: A flat nozzle 41 capable of blowing off air downward from the top of the cutting part of a workpiece 24 so as to blow off chips is provided, and the sufficient disposal of the chips even if dry cutting is performed by blowing up the whole of the chips with air blown off out of the flat nozzle 41 for blowing them into an opening part 30 down beneath the cutting part, and thereby prevent the chips from staying in the respective parts of a horizontal hobbing machine by discharging the chips out of a chip conveyor 31, and from being accumulated therein, also prevent the chips from being in gear with the sliding part and operating of the horizontal hobbing machine, prevent its normal operation from being impaired, prevent the heat of the chips from being transferred to the respective parts of the machine, and thereby prevent the respective parts from being thermally deformed to reduce cutting accuracy.</p> |
