PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit the light from an light-emitting element to a light guide, in a backlight unit. SOLUTION: This backlight unit comprises a light emitting element 3 formed by folding a lead terminal twice, a control substrate 4 fixed with the light emitting element 3 in a given position, a light guide 1 flatly turning on the light from the light emitting element 3, and a holder 2 fixing the light emitting element 3 and the light guide 1. Light emitting part of the light emitting element 3 is parallelized to a size surface 1a of the light-guiding member 1, thereby the light from the light emitting element 3 is efficiently transmitted to the light guide 1. |
