<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mount photointerrupter which can be manufactured in an assembled state almost up to a final process keeping productivity high, and where a positioning member is provided accurately. SOLUTION: In a photointerrupter 10, where a light emitted from a light- emitting element 1 is detected by a photodetector 12 through the intermediary of a gap G to detect whether or not a detected object is present without using a contact, boards 5 and 6 mounted with the elements 11 and 12 respectively, molded bodies 7 and 8 possessed of through-holes 15 where the sealing resin parts 14 of the boards 5 and 6 are housed and U-shaped in cross section, a slit board 3 where a slit 3a which functions as an optical path of the elements 11 and 12 is provided, and a main body positioning pin 3b are provided. The slit board 3 is bonded to either of the molded bodies 7 and 8, the elements 11 and 12 are made to face each other through the intermediary of the gap G, and the positioning pin 3b is made to protrude from the side of the main body. As a result, a product can be enhanced in positioning accuracy, dimensional accuracy, and productivity.</p> |
