PURPOSE: A network interface card supplying with an associated hardware card is provided to support many protocol interfaces by uniting a digital highway switching card, a CAS(channel association signaling), a protocol control card, CCS(common channel signaling), and a trunk interface card to one system. CONSTITUTION: The network interface card controller comprises: a plurality of protocol process section supporting various protocols, respectively, to provide temporary communication service; a plurality of network interfaces section switching a digital highway according to kinds of service, and operating a required network interface to occupy an empty trunk interface; a call process controlling section operating information exchange with an application hierarchy level to a standard interface, which shows results about a temporary protocol process request and the requested protocol process result, and controlling the network interface section and the protocol process section irrespective of kinds of protocol calls.
