PURPOSE: Industrial polyester fiber and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to produce dipped cord having a high spinning workability and superior properties such as superior strength and low shrinkage by reducing an intrinsic viscosity difference between inner and outer parts of a polyester chip in solid phase polymerization. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing industrial polyester fiber, a polyester low chip is added with an antimonic compound as a polymerization catalyst by a residual amount of antimonic metal 200-400ppm in a polymer and polymerized in a solid phase to have an intrinsic viscosity of 1.00-1.20 and moisture ratio below 30ppm. The solid phase polymerized polyester chip is melted at a low temperature of 290-300°C and dispersed via a nozzle(2) in a pack(1). Discharged filaments(4) are oiled by 03-0.8% O.P.U. with resin emulsion oil of 10-30% concentration by an emulsion oil supplying element(5), wherein alkyl-tio-ester and polyoxylethylene-tio-ester as a smoothing agent contain the resin emulsion oil containes 50% or more straight emulsion solution component. The filaments are winded on godet rollers(6-10) at a velocity of 2000-3300m/min to obtain non-twisted yarns having an intrinsic viscosity 0.95-1.02 and alignment ratio 40-90X10¬-3 to be continuously twisted. |
