PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler superheater that is inexpensive, cannot be damaged greatly by alkali corrosion, and has a long life. SOLUTION: A cylindrical pipe 20 is arranged inside the steam inlet side of a superheater pipe 5a made of carbon steel. Since the inner surface temperature of the cylindrical pipe 20 is more uniform than the inner surface temperature of the superheater pipe 5a, the mist of the boiler water being carried over from the inlet header 13a is evaporated uniformly in the cylindrical pipe 20. As a result, even if an alkaline constituent is contained in the mist, the distribution of deposited alkali becomes uniform on the inner surface of the cylindrical pipe 20 and cannot be concentrated at a specific location. Therefore, a corrosion speed become relatively slow and the life of the cylindrical pipe 20, namely a superheater 5, can be extended. In this case, by forming the cylindrical pipe 20 with a wire netting or a lath plate or an iron group or Ni group alloy with 9% or more Cr, the life can be extended further.
