摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration of emission in association with the shortage of an intake air quantity after a clutch of a manual transmission is changed from a condition of disengaging into an engaging condition. SOLUTION: An EGR passage 22 is provided to recirculate exhaust gas delivered from a combustion chamber 5 into an intake branch pipe 11, a manual transmission is connected to an engine output shaft, and a real EGR gas quantity which is really recirculated through the EGR passage 2 is controlled by an EGR control valve 23 so as to set to a demand EGR gas quantity demanded according to an engine operating condition. After a clutch of the manual transmission is changed from an engaging condition into a condition of disengaging, the demand recirculation exhaust gas quantity is decreased and corrected so as to set to a recirculation exhaust gas quantity and less which is set beforehand.
