PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode, capable of preventing an increase such as heat resistance and electrical resistance and reducing a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a method having a coating step for coating a fiber layer (fiber group) 3, in which many carbon nanotubes 2 having perpendicular orientation are disposed in parallel with each other, with a coating material 4 made of metal; and a transfer step for pressing and transferring the fiber layer 3 obtained by this coating step to the surface of a metal plate 5 softened by heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
