PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain acrylic acid ester-based resin particles giving excellent touch (smoothness, a soft feel and spread) and effect (good adherence to the skin), and to obtain an external preparation containing the resin particles. SOLUTION: The acrylic acid ester-based resin particles comprise crosslinked (meth)acrylic acid ester-based resin particles having an average particle diameter of 0.5-100μm and a compressive strength of 0.05-0.6 kgf/mm2 in an amount of 100 pts.wt. and organic resin fine particles having an average particle diameter of 1/1000 to 1/5 time the average particle diameter of the resin particles in an amount of 3-40 pts.wt., and adhering the organic resin fine particles to the surfaces of the resin particles.
