PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the behavior of a stepping motor at the first start of rotation immediately after the power is turned ON by executing the hold of longer time than the ordinary time in the particular energizing phase. SOLUTION: When an energizing signal is inputted, a stepping motor 21 executes the hold of longer time than the ordinary hold by applying a hold current to the particular energizing phase before the driver sets the stepping motor 21 to the rotating condition for the first time for the step rotation with a driver by receiving the supply of current from the power supply 11. Consequently, when the rotor is in any position, hold is possible even in any particular energizing phase. Accordingly, even if the rotor is in the phase (b) in the opposite polarity, the rotor position may be matched by surely holding in the phase B. Therefore, the stable drive can be attained in the subsequent step operation without any unstable behavior of rotor or loss of synchronism. |
